Jeff Castner on the Pacers

Jeff Castner is excited and looking forward to what the Indiana Pacers will do in the off season to help improve their roster. The Indiana Pacers are just a few roster moves away from taking the next step to the NBA Finals. The recent signings of Miles and Rudez should really help improve the Pacer bench. These two additions will help spread the floor and give the Pacers some much needed outside shooting. Spreading the floor will also give George and company much more room inside to penetrate and get to the basket.

Jeff Castner is anxious to see what the Pacers will do next in Free Agency. A solid point guard is desperately needed to help run the offense. Hill is a solid player, but struggled at the point. The addition of Dragic from Phoenix or Rondo from Boston would be a substantial upgrade at this position.

Roy Hibbert is a fan favorite, but he may not fit in the future plans of the Pacers. His struggles after the All-Star break and during the playoffs may make him expendable if the right deal comes along. This is a tough call. Roy Hibbert is a quality guy and would surely be missed in Indianapolis.

Jeff Castner is a big fan of Lance Stephenson, but would not give him the maximum contract he is looking for to keep him a Pacer. The Pacer offer of 5 years and 44 million is fair after having just one solid year since joining the Pacers. Stephenson should appreciate the opportunity Bird gave him and accept the offer. Stay tuned!
